Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Jerk delivers their second release of the year 'A Different Reason To Wake Up'. Coinciding with a challenging period in Jerk’s life, the track, which is composed, performed and produced entirely by Jerk, captures having arrived at a place of creative comfort, throwing yourself back into exploration, and finding peace in that process.

Speaking on the track, Jerk said:

“A Different Reason to Wake Up is something Franco Colon said describing our weekend spent working on this record in Binghamton, NY. In the weeks following that session, I was faced with a lot of challenging transitions. Waking up and doing anything was a challenge. This track was at the forefront of this transition - I wrote and recorded it shortly before, and edited, mixed, and mastered it after. Throughout this, my friends lifted me up, my family pulled me through, and this track served as the soundtrack. My music and my people gave me a different reason to wake up."
